Progress: 8 down, 13 to go (list)
Which: The Alchemist, Paulo Coelho
The last month at my job, I did almost no reading. I say almost because I read long-ish articles online and magazines, but zero books. Last night, I finally picked a book from the list and dove in. 2 hours later I realized: (a) why a previous boss (also one of the best teachers I’ve had) lent me his copy and (b) that it would end up in my Re-read Every So Often stack (along with Siddhartha and The Elements of Style) (nerd).
Not too far in I had an idea where the boy might be headed, but Coelho doesn’t beat the reader over the head and it’s one of those stories you don’t mind hearing over again anyway.
